Function VB_BATCH_GET_DETAIL is not release so it's not allowed to
use in customer own functions, see note 109533 and 415983.

SAP MC start sap instance automatically after server reboot
Hello all
I have a SAP Instance installed on the same server where the SAP MC is. I want to have the instance to start automatic when I reboot the server.
anybody know how I can do that?
My server runs windows server 2008 and the SAP system manager is v1.0 the MC is v.3.0

Hi Constantine,
Please try this:
- You must make sure that SAP[SID]_00 service is set to start automatically.
- You must edit your SAP START profile and add this line: Autostart=1
- Make sure that the line you added IS NOT the last one in your file. if it is, your added parameter could be ignored.
To test this out, shutdown SAP and your database, then shutdown the SAP[SID]_00 service. Now start it, open SAPMMC to see if you see any starting activity. it should work fine.

Export of change requests with change descriptions from SAP Solution Manager
First of all I'm new to this site (and SAP all together), so please move my question to another place if I've picked a wrong one.
Second, I tried really hard to find a solution to my problem here and elsewhere on the Internet, but I'm pretty sure, that my assignment is a fairly innovative one.
I am trying to create a knowledge base of all the Solution Manager change requests from the last year WITH change descriptions. I have no problem exporting them to e.x. Excel file, but I can't find the option to export them with descriptions to a single file. From what I've read, I could export the change descriptions as single files, but it would take a lot of time.

Issue in Excise invoice creation.
Hi ,
we have recently upgraded our system to EHP6 and we are facing issue while creating excise invoice.
Issue is, Through transaction J1IIN , while creating excise invoice the Amount utilized field in the Balance Utilized is not appearing. I can see the screen is holding the values till the loop on table control in the PBO, but somehow values are not getting displayed on the screen. Please help.
Transaction : J1IIN
Issue : Amount utilized field is not showing values.
Hint : After EHP6 upgradation.
Please suggest if any configuration settings required.

Adding a Custom Field in IW58 or IW59 transaction

In IW58 and IW59 transaction we can search for all notifications for a Premise or a Functional Location.
In an enhancement,we want to add a custom Contract Account field to the IW58 and IW59 transaction. By this custom field user wants to search all the service notifications for a Contract Account.

Electronic bank statement upload error.
Dear All experts,
This below error i am getting when i upload the electronic bank statement in multicash format.
Message in the bottom line "Bank statement is not updated"
when i am going back i am getting the below error.
While importing electronic bank statement, the system determ
that not all external transactions (business transaction cod
text keys, or posting texts) were in
table T028G.
Enter the transactions in table T028G.
Afterwards, start the processing again.
Following entries missing in table T028G:
TransTyp External transaction +- Bank Key Bank Account Shrt key St no MR no Text

Now my concern is what should i do , even i have maintained MC, HEC, + and posting rule vtl1 in table T028G, but there is no field in table T028G for maintaining the bank key, bank account , sht key, St no, MR no and text which is showing in the error.
here i am just testing and i have taken only one external transaction, there is no other transaction external transaction and in the file UMSATZ.TXT only one transaction is maintained for test.

The I will have all subsequence workbooks all link back to the master data.
I think I will find another way instead of using workbook as my reporting purposes.

DST time end impact on SAP systems / Should keep ON or OFF
Hi,
I have some queries on DST end which is going to happen after 2 days.
Our systems are going to face Daylight saving time (DST) end on Nov 3 2013 02:00 AM. Hence we are afraid of question that whether we should keep our systems ON or we should keep our systems down for those "double hours" during DST end.
Following are some details to understand further on our concern,
Our systems are located in Pittsburgh, USA. So currently we are in EDT time zone and on coming Sunday we will be on EST time zone after DST end.
We have ECC,BW,PI & SOL systems; And all of them are based on Netweaver Rel. & Having kernel Rel. 720
We have also set "Variable Summer time rules" as per Note 919538
In our all systems parameter "zdate/DSTswitch_contloctime" exist and its current value is ON
Now we have found three options to tackle DST end situation,
1. Two hour downtime method: Completely avoid running SAP system during this double hour.
2. One hour downtime method: Note 102088
3. Zero downtime method: Use the default “stretched time”. / Available default in all the systems (http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/00269ed5-9f37-2f10-8686-f28792c1975a?overridelayout=true&53648436494668)
Now the problem is our management has decided not to shutdown any system, and during the DST end our systems runs many standard & functional jobs. So here we are scared on the result i.e. whether our system will operate as usual or there will be conflict with time after DST end. As we are not understanding point 3 Zero downtime method clearly.
Kindly let me know some definite response if you are US customer & have face this kind of scenario in past & are also going to face this now.

Fortunately we decided to keep our systems ON & we are now proved correct. We also had written to SAP but they had suggested us to keep systems down & if that is not possible then make sure that no jobs run during those double hours. But we didn't took any action & all gone as normal.
No dumps, No error logs, & No job failure due to Time issue.
Below is for reference of people who would like to know on this,
at 01:00 EDT clock has started running with half speed, 1 hr. before EST
At OS level clock will automatically switch to 01:00 EST on 02:00 EDT
DST has end & EST time has been started now (EST time is correct wall clock time)
Now system time will match with real clock time
EST time zone entry will get disappear.
Time zone has now been adjusted to EST at 02:00 AM.
Now it will run the clock with normal speed.
No job failure, No dumps, & No error logs related to Time.

This has been happening to me on the Activity tab all morning. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Currently it is working.
This is probably best asked over in the SCN Bug Reporting space - an answer is more likely over there.

Is it necessary that Java Stack is installed/implemented in order to be able to use web Services for data extraction?
